They are a good shop, I'm glad I use them. I order all my parts through them instead of buying online as well. https://www.facebook.com/pages/C-D-cycles/145647551599 - if you're on facefook like their page and leave an online review!

Finally got a 2nd hand bike from someone on here it's a Viking road bike from the 80's. When I can, I'm gonna restore it and put on a Shimano 105 groupset.

Ha! I thought the Lotus would do that, and wasn't sure if the V12 Jag was weight reduced :S be cool if you can get a pic of it, sounds like a bad ass car.

kinetic-uk wrote

Cool, bet the V12 and AC Cobra powered Lotus were fast, let alone the others, The Porsche got to 160mph and everything started going blurry insane!

kinetic-uk wrote

Yeah, but I don't own one...lol...been in a few fast cars in my life time fastest being a Porsche 911 targa.

Ha! Nice! That's news to me, I knew they had 9500rpm but didn't know they hit 61 in first gear, I've been in my mates bog standard Type-R which flew when he put the revs up.

kinetic-uk wrote

Nice, either one of them would be descent, don't know about real life but apparently S2000's and 350z's are drifty cars, Caterhams or Westfields are also harsh to handle on tracks apparently but they fly like shit off a shovel!

TDi Golfs are pretty rapid as diesel has a lot of torque, what weekend toy are you thinking of getting next?

kinetic-uk wrote

lol, yeah that's the problem with the Merc and cars like the for GT40, they're to impracticable and you have to be a midget to drive one.

Definitely, these locks are pricey but if you watch this video you'll see why:

And yep I made a bike security website and a few others on burglary, scammers and recovering stolen bikes from ebay.

Hi mate, you buy it from Almax website £125-189:

I got mine for free from them for advertising their lock on my bike security website, pretty cool eh?

My mate works at a bike place, they collect old road bikes and they've found a few classic bikes what have been chucked that are worth £200-£500, people don't know what valuables they have when it comes to bikes.

Nice, Manitou Dorados are good forks I've heard, and my mate found an LTS frame down Kettering tip once! He bought it off them for a fiver and sold it for a couple hundred.

That's not bad at all £520 for a full DH bike! I'm going to be getting parts for my bike from ebay too as they're cheaper than CRC, I just quit XC to go roadie as I couldn't get to the trails, and yep I'll try put together a guide I just am stuck for a few more tips to put down other than the two I made :-S

I'm not sure of bike shops in Northampton but I would've thought you'd have a good one there!! If you can get to Kettering though C&D Cycles is a good shop, cheers for the heads up on leisure lakes bikes just in case I was ever gonna go to them.

kinetic-uk wrote

C&D is a good shop, I've paid good prices for my frames and parts from there, and they haven't ripped me off, good customer service too, only after buying a couple of minor parts from their shop they gave me 10% discount on other bits from their shop, they have a website and facebook page if you want to check them out:

Oh right, no problem a lot of people get confused by the 'This' thingy, I'm glad I didn't sell my bike on ebay now, and nope not a bike shop, it's another word for Kinesis as I ride a Kinesis bike, the only bike shop in Kettering is C&D Cycles.
